Information for parents
Everything worth knowing before you decide about a subscription — on one page, with no small print.

- Pages stay on the tablet

What MathIt is
MathIt is a squared-paper notebook for a tablet. The child does not draw the characters — they are chosen on the maths panel, and the grid holds the digits in place — the column stays straight, the decimal point stays put. It was built for pupils in years 3–8 who find writing hard.
- No account — nothing to sign up for, no address, no password.
- No ads and no tracking — the app collects nothing about the child.
- Pages and settings stay on the tablet, not on our server.
- Works without internet — the sheet lives on the tablet, not in a cloud.
- Homework that can be read — the teacher can mark it without guessing, and will not mark it down for the handwriting.
What is always free
These work whether the subscription is paid, lapsed, or never existed:
- opening and reading every page the child has made,
- exporting pages as PNG or PDF files,
- making a backup and restoring it,
- every setting, view and theme.
Nothing the child writes stops being theirs. The notebook stays open for good.
What needs a subscription
One thing: writing new pages and editing existing ones. That is all.
We do not lock exports, backups, or access to what has already been made — not having a subscription may be an inconvenience, but it must never be a loss.
Free until 30 November 2026
Until 30 November 2026 the whole app is free. There is no card to enter and nothing to cancel — no subscription starts by itself.
What it costs
- $6.99 per month,
- $44.99 per year — that is $3.75 a month.
These are the United States prices.
One subscription covers the whole device: if more than one child uses the tablet, you do not pay twice.
What happens when it lapses
The child still opens their pages and still exports them. Only writing new pages and correcting old ones stops.
Nothing is deleted, nothing expires quietly and nothing is locked retroactively. Pay again and everything returns exactly where it was.
How to cancel
The subscription is bought and cancelled in Google Play, not with us:
- open the Google Play app,
- tap your picture in the top right corner,
- choose Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions,
- pick MathIt and tap Cancel subscription.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for — nothing is lost on the day you cancel. You do not need to tell us, or give a reason.
Refunds are handled by Google Play under their own rules; we have no access to your payment details.
When MathIt is free
Until 30 November 2026 the whole app is free for everyone, so codes are not needed for anything yet. Clinics and schools will receive licences for their specialists and a pool of codes to hand out to the children they work with — together with instructions on where and how to use them — before the paid period begins.

If the subscription is too much for you, write to us — we will find a way. We do not ask why, and we ask for no paperwork.
The child’s privacy
The app creates no account, shows no ads, uses no advertising identifiers and runs no analytics. Pages and settings are stored locally on the tablet.
The details are in the privacy policy.
