Local worksheets and settings
Reports are sent intentionally
No ads or analytics

MathIt is designed to stay calm and predictable: no account, no ads, and no tracking. Worksheets are stored locally, and data only reaches us when the user intentionally submits a report.

1. How MathIt works

MathIt is an educational math app for children and adults. Basic use does not require an account or contact details.

  • Worksheets, archive, and settings are stored locally on the device.
  • Worksheets are not synchronized between devices.
  • The app does not display ads.
  • The app does not use analytics or crash reporting.

2. What data we process

In normal use, the app stores data locally that is needed to operate, including worksheets, archive, and settings.

In the support form, we may process:

  • report category,
  • report subject and description,
  • app version and build number,
  • app language,
  • platform and operating system details,
  • selected UI settings when needed for diagnosis,
  • optional email address if the user checked the consent box,
  • optional screenshot if the user intentionally attached one.

3. Reports, email, and screenshots

Report

Submitting a bug report or suggestion is voluntary. Data only reaches us when the user intentionally fills in and sends the form.

Email

Email is optional. It can be entered only after checking the consent box. We use it only to contact the user about the specific report.

Screenshot

A screenshot is optional and must be selected manually. It may contain worksheet content or other private information visible on the screen, so it should be checked before sending.

On PC/Windows and Android, the user can select the file manually. iOS is not currently supported.

4. Purpose and legal basis

We process data only when it is necessary for app operation, handling the report, responding, diagnosing a problem, or meeting legal obligations.

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR - app operation and service delivery,
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR - optional email and optional screenshot,
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - report handling, security, and app improvement,
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR - legal obligations when payments or accounting require it.

5. Recipients of data

Report data may be sent to Supabase and Supabase Storage. Supabase acts as the technical infrastructure provider for the report form and optional screenshots.

6. Ads, tracking, and diagnostics

MathIt does not use ads, analytics tools, or automatic crash reporting.

  • we do not use advertising identifiers,
  • we do not sell user data,
  • we do not track user activity for marketing purposes.

7. Payments

Payments are handled by the app store, such as Google Play, Microsoft Store, or another store where the app is available. MathIt does not receive full payment card details.

8. Retention and deletion

  • Worksheets, archive, and settings stay on the device until the user deletes them or uninstalls the app.
  • Reports, optional email addresses, and optional screenshots are retained for a maximum of 12 months from receipt.

To request deletion of report data, contact us by email.

9. Security

Local data stays on the device, and its security also depends on the device's own protections. Reports are sent over HTTPS.

10. Children's data

MathIt is also intended for children. We design the app so basic use does not require an account, email, name, or surname.

If a child wants to send a report with an email address or screenshot, they should do so with help from a parent, guardian, or teacher.

11. User rights and complaints

Where provided by law, the user has the right to:

  • access data,
  • rectify data,
  • erase data,
  • restrict processing,
  • data portability where applicable,
  • object to processing,
  • withdraw consent when processing is based on consent.

You can also write to the contact email.

12. Policy changes

This policy may be updated when app features, payment models, providers, or legal requirements change.

13. Data controller

The data controller is Kamil Kucharzewski.
